The last in the Museum's three-part series, of America's and Berks County's most innovative and important artists. Reading native William Baziotes (1912-1963) was an artist of the New York City based Abstract Expressionist movement of the mid 20th Century. This retrospective exhibition will bring new awareness to Baziote's important contributions to American art and his developing styles that led to his great mature work. In addition the exhibition will feature aspects of his Reading connection including the mural he created for his family's Crystal Restaurant. (from pahappenings.com)
